Tata Motors is preparing to launch a brand-new compact sedan in India called the Tata Aeris, which is expected to replace the existing Tigor model. The new car could hit the market as early as September 25, 2026, right before the festive season kicks off.

- Sharper Exterior: The car will feature a slimmer front grille, sharp LED headlights, new bumpers, and stylish 15-inch alloy wheels.
- Modern Rear View: The back of the car gets a new connected LED tail-light design and bold "AERIS" lettering across the tailgate.
- Dual Screens: Inside, the dashboard will hold a large 10.25-inch touchscreen for entertainment (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) alongside a digital display for the driver.
- Premium Comforts: Higher models are expected to include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, and automatic climate control.
- Standard Safety: Peace of mind comes built-in with six standard airbags, electronic stability control, and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
- Power: The Aeris will use a reliable 1.2-litre engine, available in both standard petrol and a highly efficient dual-cylinder CNG setup. An all-electric Aeris.ev version is also expected down the line.
- Cost: It is estimated to cost between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), competing directly with rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Aura.
